In a randomized feeding trial of 336 White Pekin ducks up to 21 days, 0.1% dietary tannic acid improved feed conversion ratio while 0.02% antimicrobial peptide increased average daily feed intake. Both additives enhanced serum immunoglobulins, complement, antioxidant enzymes and total antioxidant capacity, lowered MDA, and reduced cecal Actinobacteria abundance; no synergistic effects were observed.
